Girls guide to packing for a Northern Rivers escape

The Northern Rivers area is a great place to escape to for a break. Spanning from the Clarence River to Tweed Heads, the spectacularly scenic landscape encompasses epic headlands,  lush pastoral land fringed by wild rainforests, deep river gorges at the foothills of the Great Dividing Range.

The area boasts of the most ‘ambient’ climate in Australia, with an average temperature of 24C, perfect for all sorts of outdoor activities. There’s plenty of places to visit or maybe you just want to loaf around reading a book at Wategos beach under an umbrella. However, figuring out what to pack so you can take advantage of all the things and places you want to see can be tricky. So I’ve made a list for ‘all yo girls,’ allowing for an economy check-in baggage allowance of 30K.

TIPS

Wear your leggings and joggers on the plane and pop your shawl in your carry-on luggage or handbag.

Make sure you decanter your favorite toiletries into small containers no more than 100ml in each and to be placed in a clear sealable plastic bag approx 20cm X 20cm.

Purchase a waterproof pouch for your phone, Ipad, or camera. You will thank yourself later. Also, this will protect them from the salt air.

If you have forgotten anything or have some space left in your suitcase, there are tonnes of great shops to visit after a lazy morning at the beach, stocking the perfect answer to your summer wardrobe dilemmas.
